Antique ID: Value Scanner AI ("the app") identifies items from photos. This policy explains what happens to your data.
When you tap Identify, the item photos you took or chose are sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which passes them to an AI model provider (through Replicate) to identify the item. The photos are used only to answer that request. We do not keep them, and we do not use them to train models.
Identified items, their photos and values are saved only on your device. Deleting an item or the app removes them.
The app asks for camera access only so you can photograph an item. When you choose a photo instead, you pick it in Apple's photo picker; the app does not read the rest of your library.
The app signs in to our server with an anonymous account (no name, email or phone number), uses Apple's App Attest to prove requests come from the genuine app, and the server counts scans per anonymous account to enforce fair-use limits. Purchases are handled by Apple, and we use RevenueCat to check whether you have a subscription. RevenueCat receives the same anonymous ID and your purchase history from Apple. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
To improve the app, it sends a few anonymous events to our own server (for example: onboarding step viewed, paywall shown, purchase completed or cancelled). They are tied only to the anonymous account ID, are not shared with third parties and are not used for advertising.
The app has no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
